Terms of service
Use of Daypin
Daypin is an AI-powered travel-planning assistant. By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Itineraries we generate are suggestions only. Always verify hours, prices, availability, bookings, visa requirements, and safety information directly with the venues and authorities before you travel.
You are responsible for your own travel decisions, bookings, and conduct. Daypin doesn't book flights, hotels, or activities — we only plan the "what to do" layer.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the digital-consent age in your country, whichever is higher) to use Daypin. By using the app you confirm you meet this requirement.
If you're using Daypin on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
Pricing and purchases
Daypin offers two one-time in-app purchases: a single-city Trip ($3.99) and a multi-city Tour covering 2 to 5 connected cities ($7.99). US prices shown; Apple and Google set equivalent local pricing in other regions. Purchases are charged through your Apple App Store or Google Play account.
One purchase = one generated itinerary. A Trip covers a single base city; a Tour covers 2 to 5 cities planned end-to-end in a single purchase. Once paid, you can refine that Trip or Tour unlimited times in chat until its end date passes.
Browsing the Daypin Hub is free. Saving Hub trips to your own list is free (the saved copy is read-only).
Refunds are handled by Apple and Google respectively, per their refund policies. Daypin can't issue store refunds directly. For specific concerns, email hello@daypin.app and we'll do what we can.
AI-generated content
Itineraries are generated by Anthropic's Claude AI using your inputs and place data from Google Maps Platform. Every suggested place is verified against Google Places before being included, but we cannot guarantee that information is current at the time you travel.
If you find a place that is closed, mis-located, or otherwise wrong, email hello@daypin.app and we'll improve future generations.
Acceptable use
Don't use Daypin to: harass other users, generate misleading or harmful content, attempt to extract or scrape our data, reverse-engineer the app, abuse rate limits, or violate the terms of any third-party service we use (Google, Anthropic, Apple, Google Play).
Don't share content via the Daypin Hub that would be illegal in your country, contains hate speech, sexual content, or could endanger others. We may remove Hub trips that violate these rules at our discretion.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate these rules.
Your content
You retain ownership of the trips you create. By sharing a trip with the Daypin Hub, you grant Daypin a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display the trip to other users while sharing is enabled.
If you revoke sharing, we stop displaying the trip to new viewers. Users who already saved a snapshot of your trip retain their copy — we can't remove content from other users' devices.
Disclaimers
Daypin is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. This includes warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We are not liable for missed flights, closed restaurants, lost bookings, weather, currency-conversion losses, or any consequential losses arising from itinerary suggestions or app malfunctions. Travel involves risk that's outside our control.
Some jurisdictions don't allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for consequential damages. Where this applies (e.g., consumer protection law in the European Union), the above limitations apply only to the extent permitted.
When in doubt, double-check before you go.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Daypin's total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $100.
This limit doesn't apply to liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other matters that can't be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Daypin is operated from the United States.
If you're a consumer in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another region with mandatory consumer-protection laws, you retain the protections of your local law and the right to bring claims in your local courts.
Disputes
If you have a dispute with us, please email hello@daypin.app first. We'll work in good faith to resolve it. Most disagreements get sorted out without escalation.
If we can't resolve a dispute informally, claims arising from these terms (subject to your local-law rights described above) shall be settled by binding arbitration in Delaware, United States, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
You and Daypin agree that disputes will be resolved on an individual basis. Class-action and class-arbitration waivers apply where enforceable. Where they're not enforceable (notably for EU consumers), they don't apply to you.
Termination
You can stop using Daypin at any time and delete your account via Me → Delete account and reset data.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Daypin if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. We'll give reasonable notice when we can.
Sections that should naturally survive termination (intellectual-property terms, disclaimers, limitations of liability, dispute-resolution provisions) continue to apply after your account ends.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Daypin evolves. Material changes will be communicated in-app at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes go live constitutes acceptance.
